reposting as it has come to my attention not everyone is aware. We have 4 bins inside the club rooms, blue with white lids. Please put any valid 10c containers into these bins (and please don’t put other rubbish in them)

The club has registered as a Charity under the VIC container deposit scheme (https://cdsvic.org.au/). These bins are specifically for cans and bottles only and will help raise money for the club. The club will receive up to 7c per container, dependent on the level of contamination in the bin (i.e. stuff that doesn’t belong in there). Please help the club in this simple fund raising effort by.

1 – bringing your cans and bottles from home and have them recylced here

2 – not placing contaminants in the bin (there were already chips in there yesterday)

You can also take your containers to the nearest depot (Altona Gate basement, Yarraville community centre, Westgate golf club, or bottle shop in Seddon), where, if you use the app, you can get 10c per container donated to the club. More info at the above website.
